Day 10- Classic comfort

I was excited to finally get a chance to go to the Manning Farmers Markets- there are heaps of wonderful stalls with locally grown WA foods including fruits, veg, olive oils, honey and artisan bread. With visiting the markets in mind, I decided on comfort. I was interested on the view of tights with sneakers and while googling was surprised to find lots of web pages dedicated to this somewhat quirky combination.

Another trend which I noticed while browsing through Zara stores when overseas is the return of stonewashed denim. While I have never been a big lover of 80’s style, I am positive there are many faded blue denim jackets hidden in op-shops all over Perth.

And here are the goodies I picked up from the markets- French ‘peasant’ artisan bread, 2 types of organic olive oil, organic honey and japanese ‘mountain mist’ tea made by a herbalist. If you haven’t been to Manning Farmers markets would definitely recommend! I was inspired to go to some markets selling local produce after reading my second hand book- Encore Provence, documenting the beautiful markets of France. It was particularly nice to meet all the interesting characters and give business directly to the people who make and grow these many items in eco-ethical ways.

p.s. the bread was delicious toasted with warm honey on top!

Not very crazy about it all. The jean jacket is alright, but the tennis shoes just ruin it for me. Love the skirt though. Not many people are brave enough to wear horizontal lines.
